Is Medellín/Colombia safe?
Colombia is a country full of culture, warmth, and incredible beauty, and Medellín is one of its most vibrant and welcoming cities for tourism. We’re so excited for you to experience it. Like any major destination, we recommend staying in well-known areas such as El Poblado, using trusted transportation, and keeping general awareness while exploring. With these simple precautions, you’ll find it to be a safe and unforgettable place to visit.
Where should I stay?
We recommend staying either in El Poblado (Medellín) for a more central, lively experience, or in Santa Elena for a quieter stay closer to the venue. You can find our recommended accommodations on the Travel & Stay page.
How far is the venue from Medellín?
The venue is located in Santa Elena, about 30–40 minutes from El Poblado depending on traffic. Travel times may be slightly longer during peak hours, so we recommend planning accordingly.
What is the dress code?
Formal attire is requested for our celebration. Please visit the Dress Code page for additional details and styling guidance.
What will the weather be like?
Medellín is known for its mild, spring-like climate, with daytime temperatures typically in the mid-70s to low 80s°F. Santa Elena, where our venue is located, sits higher in the mountains and is generally cooler, especially in the evening.
Can I bring a +1?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding.
Are children invited?
We know that for many of you, traveling may mean time away from your little ones, and we completely understand that this isn’t always easy. While our celebration will have an adult-focused atmosphere, we’re happy to be flexible where needed. We simply ask that children remain under your supervision throughout the evening.
Do you have a registry?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you wish to celebrate with a gift, our registry is available on this website.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please let us know when you RSVP, and we will do our best to accommodate any dietary needs.
What airport should I fly into?
Please fly into José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), which serves Medellín. The airport is approximately 45 minutes from the city and about 30 minutes from Santa Elena.
Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, parking will be available at the venue. Additional details and guidance will be shared closer to the wedding day
Do I need a passport to travel to Colombia?
Yes, all international guests will need a valid passport to travel to Colombia. Please ensure your passport is up to date prior to your trip
